フィンランドMBA;横浜でも風力発電
日本に帰国して横浜を自転車ではしっていたときに
驚いたことがあった。
それは横浜港でポツンと
風力発電の風車がみかけたこと。
横浜市環境創造局
どこの会社の風車をつかっているのかなーって調べてみたら
風力発電のリーディングカンパニーとして世界中にマーケットシェアを
伸ばしている、デンマークの VESTAS WIND SYSTEM A/S(ヴェスタス社)だった。
北欧の大学院にきてから
面白い会社に出会うことがおおいけど
ここでまた北欧関連の企業に出会うとはなかなか面白いなーっておもった。

僕が面白いなっておもった理由のひとつは
1979年にすでに風力発電の事業に取り組んでいたこと。
あんだけ石油、火力、水力発電の勢いがあった時期に
風力発電という不安定な供給の分野にはいっていったこと。
環境重視なんて1979年当時は
いわれていたかもしれないけど、政府などは
あまりコミットしていない時期だったとおもう。

ちょっと古い資料になるけど、
99年は単年度で世界シェアの28.4%を占め、
風力発電機のトップメーカーとなってなている模様。
今後、横浜港にもっともっと
風力発電のタービンが並んだら景色にも
爽快感がでてくるんだろーなーっておもった今日この頃。
